Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation

In this first message from our 2017 Fall Bible Conference, Dr. Walter Johnson, Dean of the College of Christian Studies at North Greenville University, recounts the life of Martin Luther and his role in the Protestant Reformation. He reminds us that Martin Luther was a good son of the Church, and hence what he really wanted was the reformation of the Catholic Church. In time, however, he and others like him, could not come to agreement and the Protestant Church was born. Dr. Johnson also reminds us that it is because of Luther’s work as well as the work of other reformers, that we are able to worship as we do today, to believe what we do about the Scriptures, justification by faith and more.
